GPEC and IMI Deliver Targeted Solutions at Cory Riverside 1

In a recent collaboration with Cory Group, GPEC and IMI Insyt conducted a detailed study at Cory Riverside 1, one of the UK’s largest Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facilities. Processing over 850,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually, the facility uniquely utilises river infrastructure for waste delivery.

Introduced by GPEC, IMI Insyt partnered with Alan Neeson, Assistant Operations Manager at Cory Group, to address persistent water hammer issues within the system. Through the study, the root causes were identified, leading to the implementation of effective solutions, including:

1. Installation of a pre-heating system

2. Control logic modifications

3. Improved injection technology

Alan Neeson praised the collaboration, stating:

"GPEC and IMI have consistently demonstrated high standards and exceptional technical knowledge, significantly contributing to the success of this project. Their dedication to quality in products and services has exceeded our expectations. The teams at GPEC and IMI have been invaluable."
