Click here to find out moremüller Quadax GmbH, headquarted in Forchtenberg, Germany, is a müller Co-ax daughter company and have been trading as a stand-alone company since 2017, however their 4th offset valve has been part of Co-ax since 2009. The 4th Offset is a development on the triple offset butterfly valve, however they it has a round and bigger seat shape in the valve body, as the result of an elliptical cone. As a result of the round sealing geometry, this means that there is an even wall thickness the complete circumference, allowing for homogeneous expansion of the material. Therefore, the valve is suitable for extreme temperatures from -270°C to +800°C
The valve design also benefits from a complete friction free rotation on the seat, giving increased service life and superior tightness, with leakage rate A according to DIN EN 12266 / ANSI Class VI and better than the BS 6364, bubble tight in cryogenics.
The valve is available in lug/wafer, buttweld, double flange, double flange long pattern (gate valve replacement) and top entry. It can be manufcatured out of a range of body materials, from stainless and carbon steel to exotic alloys and is available in sizes from 2inch to 74inch, suitable for upto 160 bar.
Overall, due to lower friction and superior tightness this valve can help to reduce operating and maintenance costs vs conventional triple offset butterfly valves, in applications such as steam, cryogenic gases, LNG/LPG, severe service, Oxygen, mol-sieve and many more.
