Strengthening Partnerships: GPEC’s Visit to Descote for Technical & Sales Training

From Monday 24th February 2025, Connor Seddon travelled to Descote in Feyzin, Lyon for an intensive three-day company and technical training programme. Hosted by Thomas Vermorel, Area Sales Manager for Western Europe, and the wider Descote team, the visit focused on strengthening GPEC’s expertise in Descote’s highly specialised valve solutions for the chemical industry.

Connor will now play an expanded role in promoting Descote and GPEC’s other complementary and associated Principal Partners across the UK. While Sean continues to oversee the chemical sector alongside other key areas, Connor’s involvement will provide additional capacity and further reinforce GPEC’s presence in this critical market.

The training covered:

Company & Product Overview – Understanding Descote’s product portfolio, which spans Chemical, HF Alkylation, and Nuclear Fuel Production applications.
Technical Product Training – In-depth sessions on key chemical market solutions, industry certifications, and regulatory standards.
Workshop & Assembly Experience – Hands-on training on the assembly bench, reinforcing technical expertise.
UK Market Strategy – Developing a tailored approach to supporting UK customers.
